Axia Growth is a buy-side deal sourcing firm. We build proprietary origination pipelines for PE firms, independent sponsors, search funds, M&A advisors, brokers, and banks. Off-market deal flow that never reaches a broker's auction list. We have sourced over $1B to date.

The role

You own the live owner-conversation queue.

You own the live owner-conversation queue for one or more client mandates. You call business owners about selling their company, screen them against the mandate's investment criteria, and get the ones who fit in front of the client's deal team.

We measure you on qualified meetings. One meeting with an owner who fits the thesis beats ten who don't.

02What you'll do

From first call to booked meeting.

Work the live call and reply queue from active origination campaigns.
Screen owners against mandate criteria: industry, revenue/EBITDA, geography, structure, timeline.
Handle the objections that come up in a first sell-side conversation: valuation, confidentiality, “not right now.”
Follow up until you get a decision either way.
Book qualified owners with the client’s deal team.
Log dispositions, criteria fit, and notes in our CRM.
Tell us what you hear from the market: what responds, what’s too tight, which objections repeat.

03The trial period · how everyone starts

We hire off performance on the phones.

Every new analyst starts on a paid 7-day trial, same terms for everyone.

What the trial is

Up to 7 days of cold calling. No mandate screening or client-facing meetings yet. You get the dialer, the lists, the scripts, and live training before your first call.

How the trial ends

Strong numbers can end it early. Some people come off trial after one day. It can also run all 7 days and end with us passing. That happens. If we bring you on, you move to the full analyst terms below.

How you get paid during the trial

You earn a stipend on each day you clear a call threshold.

300+ calls in a day: $50 for that day
500+ calls in a day: $65 for that day
Under 300 calls in a day: No stipend for that day
Each qualified appointment you book: Bonus on top: campaign-dependent, ~$50 per shown, qualified meeting

The trial pays no hourly rate. A day under 300 calls earns no stipend, so your only pay for that day is any appointment bonus. We say this twice because people miss it.

You sign off on these terms in writing before day one. If the structure doesn't work for you, tell us before the trial starts.

04Compensation · after the trial

$20/hr base, ~$40/hr OTE.

These are the full analyst terms you move to if we bring you on after the trial.

Base: $20/hr
Meeting bonus: Per shown, qualified meeting, set per mandate (around $50)
OTE: Around $40/hr at expected volume
Structure: Contract/fractional, 2-4 hrs per business day, flexible within US time zones

Reminder: the $20/hr base starts after the trial. During the trial (up to 7 days) there is no hourly rate. You earn $50 on a 300+ call day, $65 on a 500+ call day, and nothing on a day under 300 calls except any appointment bonus.

05What we're looking for

Judgment, volume, and honesty.

Must-have

You can hold a conversation with a business owner, founder, principal, or MD, and you will make a high volume of calls to get there.
Commercial judgment. You can tell a real fit from a polite yes.
Clear writing and clear speech.
Self-direction, with consistent availability during agreed hours (flexible, US time zones).
Honesty about your experience, and a clear head about the first two weeks being hard.

Nice-to-have

1-3 years in B2B SDR, appointment setting, inside sales, or origination.
Recent grad.
Exposure to M&A, brokerage, investment banking, PE, or financial services.
Deal-screening literacy: revenue/EBITDA, add-backs, buyer thesis.
Prior fractional or contract work.
